Statement
JOURN3Y Pty Ltd (JOURN3Y) is committed to respecting human rights and taking reasonable, proportionate steps to identify and address modern slavery risks in its operations and supply chains. This statement describes JOURN3Y’s current understanding and approach for the reporting period above. It is prepared for transparency and is not represented as a statement lodged under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
Our structure, operations and supply chains
JOURN3Y is a privately held Australian company providing AI, data and technology consulting, implementation and related reseller services. This statement covers JOURN3Y Pty Ltd’s Australian operations. JOURN3Y is not part of a global group and does not own or control any other entities.
JOURN3Y’s supply chain includes software and cloud technology providers, professional-services providers and, where used, independent associates engaged under formal agreements for business-development or referral activity. Associates are not used to deliver client services. JOURN3Y’s operations and service delivery are based in Australia.
Modern slavery risks
JOURN3Y has not identified any instances of modern slavery in its operations or supply chain. The areas considered relevant to its business include the use of associates and service providers, and the less visible upstream supply chains connected to software and cloud services. JOURN3Y recognises that its limited visibility beyond direct suppliers means that an absence of identified cases is not proof that there is no risk.
Actions to assess and address risks
Risk and compliance oversight sits with JOURN3Y’s directors. Associates, where engaged, are engaged under formal Associate Commission Agreements. JOURN3Y does not yet have a formal supplier audit or due-diligence program specific to modern slavery. JOURN3Y will take a proportionate approach and will:
- include modern slavery considerations in supplier and associate onboarding or renewal where relevant;
- ask higher-risk or material suppliers about their labour and ethical-sourcing practices where appropriate;
- make clear that concerns about exploitation can be raised with a JOURN3Y director;
- assess credible concerns promptly, take appropriate steps to protect affected people, and work with relevant suppliers or authorities on remediation where warranted; and
- review this statement and the risk assessment at least annually, and when there is a material change to JOURN3Y’s operations or supply chain.
JOURN3Y has not identified any instance of modern slavery requiring remediation. The company’s due-diligence approach will be developed as its operations and supplier relationships evolve.
Assessing effectiveness
The directors will oversee the actions above. Effectiveness will be reviewed through the completion of the annual review, records of supplier or associate enquiries, and the handling and resolution of any concerns raised. As these steps are implemented, JOURN3Y will use the review to identify gaps and determine whether further controls are needed.
Consultation and approval
JOURN3Y does not own or control any other entities, so there were no controlled entities to consult for this statement.
